Christmas Joy!

Christmas Day in another 30 hours! I wonder what it will bring us?

Let's forget about the presents and parties for the moment. The world is too troubled at present to think that a few 'sticking plasters' can remedy the deep-seated maladies from which we suffer. But, hey, this is supposed to be a season of Good News to all people - peace, joy, and comfort. So, what is the really Good News?

Simply this, that God, in Jesus Christ, entered into our world, with all its sufferings and distress, becoming a man, experiencing our humanity. But why? So that He could identify with us, and thus suffer for our sin, and then offer a living relationship in Jesus Christ for every one of us. Walking with God doesn't have to be a matter of laws and regulations: it is true liberty and friendship with God. With God on our side, what else can really matter?

Enjoy Christmas, in a new relationship that is joyful, exciting, and satisfying!

Immanuel means 'God with us' Wow! Isn't that just the best possible news?
